The legal agreement between you and Meridian Capital Partners governing your use of our platform, products and services.
Last updated: 1 January 2025These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you", "the client") and Meridian Capital Partners ("Meridian Capital", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England & Wales and authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). By creating an account, accessing or using the Meridian Capital Partners platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Risk Disclosure and our AML/KYC Policy.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the platform. We may amend these Terms from time to time, and we will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
To open an account with Meridian Capital Partners you must be at least 18 years old and have full legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You must provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and keep it up to date. We welcome clients from the United Kingdom and from eligible jurisdictions worldwide, subject to our onboarding, sanctions and anti-money-laundering checks.
Important: We may decline or cancel an application where we cannot verify your identity, where you reside in a restricted jurisdiction, or where onboarding would breach applicable law or our regulatory obligations.
When you register, we open a client account and issue you a unique account number, member ID and referral code. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use or suspected security breach.
Client money is held in segregated accounts with tier-1 UK banks, separate from Meridian Capital's own operating funds. Eligible deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) up to £85,000 per eligible depositor.
Meridian Capital Partners provides access to global markets across twelve asset classes, including equities, ETFs and funds, fixed income, real estate, sustainable investments, private markets, commodities, cryptoassets, retirement products, cash and savings, and loans and financing. We also offer managed portfolios tailored to different risk profiles and investment horizons.
Nothing on the platform constitutes personalised investment advice unless expressly agreed in a separate written agreement. You are responsible for your own investment decisions and should seek independent advice where appropriate.
You may fund your account by Faster Payments bank transfer, debit or credit card, or eligible cryptoassets. The minimum first deposit is £100. Bank transfers typically settle within 1–2 business days; card and crypto deposits are usually credited the same day. Withdrawals to verified bank accounts are processed within 24 hours on business days and arrive within 1–3 business days.
We may request supporting documentation before processing large or unusual transactions, in line with our anti-money-laundering obligations.
Loan products are subject to credit approval, affordability assessment and eligibility criteria. A 5% arrangement fee applies to approved loans and is disclosed before you sign. Representative APRs are shown for each product. Your home or property may be at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a secured loan.
Our fees are set out in the Fees & Charges schedule and are disclosed before you transact. Portfolio management fees range from 0.45% to 1.25% per annum depending on the strategy. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any increase in fees.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meridian Capital Partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform, including loss of profits or data. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Capital at risk. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.
You may close your account at any time by contacting us, subject to the settlement of any outstanding positions, fees or loans. We may suspend or terminate your account where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, where required by law, or to protect the platform and other clients.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
